KIKA SROKA-MILLER HAS OVER TEN YEARS OF BOARD-LEVEL EXPERIENCE IN THE UK PUBLISHING INDUSTRY.

With over fifteen years of publishing experience (across the trade, academic and professional sectors), Sroka-Miller gained valuable business experience through the successful running of an international publishing house and then in 2020 overseeing its sale and transfer to Bloomsbury PLC.

Providing Art Direction and publishing consultancy services to publishers, editorial and art departments, writers and editors based in the UK, Sroka-Miller’s expertise lies in the creation of value from content and IP, and in connecting the creative sides of a business with broader production, technological and sales functions.

Sroka-Miller also has over ten years experience running EDITORIAL AND Art DepartmentS.

Sroka-Miller’s Editorial department at Zed Books included multiple editorial boards and editors, institutional collaboration and the development and management of globally renowned book series, thousands of authors and contributors across various disciplines in the arts, humanities and social sciences.

The art department included both an internal team and a roster of external graphic designers, artists and art directors, photographers, film makers and publicists.

Sroka-Miller’s publishing philosophy sees contemporary publishing as a simultaneous irl and url project, they posses a comprehensive understanding of the publishing industry, providing holistic insight into development projects, operational change and value creation across the entire publishing process—on a global scale.

Before being appointed Business Development Director and eventually Managing Director at Zed Books Sroka-Miller was responsible for Editorial and Art Direction at the publishing house.
